House rules, kept brief

Rooms are ready from 2 in the afternoon. Departure is by 11 in the morning. Early check-in and late check-out are subject to availability and may be arranged at an additional charge. Write ahead and we will do what we can.

Cancellations made more than 12 days before arrival receive a full refund or a 100% future stay voucher (a 10% processing fee applies to cash refunds). Between 6 and 12 days before arrival: a 50% refund or a 60% future stay voucher. Within 6 days of arrival: no refund is available. We recommend travel insurance for long journeys.

The Mansion is a private house. We ask that evenings stay quiet after 10. There is no music in shared spaces after dinner, though the library is yours until whenever. Smoking is outside only, in the garden.

Children are welcome with care. The house has stone stairs, open fires and a garden with a slope, all of which are better experienced by children old enough to know the difference between an adventure and a mistake. We suggest guests travelling with small children write ahead so we can make the right arrangements.

Well-mannered dogs are welcome in the garden rooms and at the garden table. They are not permitted in the dining room or the library. Please let us know when you book.

All rates are per room per night and include breakfast. Full board is available and recommended. A 50% deposit is taken at the time of booking. The balance is settled on departure. We accept bank transfer and major cards. All rates are in Indian Rupees and inclusive of applicable taxes.
